One of our fellow bloggers saw this tip and shared it with me regarding how to make an inexpensive seed feeder. It was such a neat idea I thought I would share idea with you.

“Bird watching is a pastime of mine, but I don’t love going out and buying new suet feeders. They’re not expensive but still, I like to DIY them by using peanut butter or coconut butter as an adhesive to stick the birdseed on a paper towel roll.”
I wish I knew the answer that question. The person that sent in the idea did not mention whether or not that happens. I am going to make one of the feeders and try it out; then, I will know the answer.
Great idea! I will make one tomorrow and see how my birds like it!
I agree; I’m going to make one too!
Love this idea. The birds feeding around my yard can go through a suet treat cake in two days.
Right now, the birds are chowing down on both suet and seeds.
Neat idea, but does the roll not turn when the birds land on it?
